Malls and competition
I love markets. No, I don't mean vegetable markets and fish markets and the like, but markets in general. See this post by Rashmi on Inorbit - pretty close to the place in Navi Mumbai where I frequent. The Hypercity is huge, ginormous like the US stores. For each Biyani who thinks clutter is the way to go, there is a hypercity. Now, who do you want to be?
Indeed there are 3 malls near the Vashi railway station and each of them has free parking now. Howzzat?
In any case, Navi Mumbai has grown up to have a life of its own and then some. So much, for a mangrove swamp of many years ago...
