US to help India build a missile defence system?
If true, this is hilarious. We will have a missile defence system and terrorists sneak in via boat, porous borders, faking id cards and what not...
On the other hand, we have Ballistic missiles, rockets capable of reaching the moon but our policemen patrol with inadequate bullet proof vests, not enough guns...

Its a well and truly ridiculous thing to do. Its just a diversionary means and nothing else. Not sure how something like that could prevent another "Mumbai" or "Jaipur" or .....
I am no millitary strategist. But this looks most common sense -- does it not? The reason why Pakistan is able to hold the world in general and India in particular to ransom is its nuclear capability. A Nuclear missile defence shield for India will make a limited precision strike on Pakistan without the threat of an escalation into all out nuclear war, possible. Which now remains dangerous because of the much touted cold war paradigm of assured mutual destruction.
Anyway, it's not even funny anymore to call people silly on the Internets these days. Coming from me, that must be true. So, maybe you should take a break.
Nilu, Spot on. I only want our other "defences" to be strong - missile defence or no missile defence.
